About Chelavara Falls
Chelavara ('Embepare' — tortoise rock) drops ~150 feet over a rounded granite face near Cheyyandane village between Virajpet and Kakkabe. Quieter than Abbey Falls, with a short walk down from the road. Extreme caution near the lip — the rock is deceptively slick.
