About Dubare Elephant Camp
Dubare is a Karnataka Forest Department camp on the Cauvery's left bank where retired and trained elephants are looked after by mahouts. Morning sessions let visitors watch (and help with) scrubbing and feeding under supervision. Cross the river by boat when the water is high. Combine with coracle rides and the Nisargadhama island nearby.
